One of the new researchers who is coming from California University has claimed how the regulation of the production of glucose is lost during the course of cancer in the lungs of the patient. They also claimed that this resulting rise in the production of glucose may lead to the increased chances of the growth of cancer cells in the lungs of the patient.

The new study basically focused on the stability of the REV-ERB which is regulated by the Glucagon to successfully modulate the hepatic production of the glucose in various models of lung cancer which is generally associated with cachexia.
The journal was published in scientific advance. The title of the article and the summary also gave the idea about how the circadian clock is generally run under stressed conditions and also regulated in these conditions.
These can be in the cases of the progression of lung cancer and the other associated tissues related to cancer. It is also termed as the wasting disease in biological terms. The name of this wasting disease is known as cachexia.
They added in the research journal that their finding has proven that REV-ERB which is a protein and scientifically termed as the protein of critical circadian is one of the main causes that regulates the production of the liver in a human body.
Dr. and assistant professor Selma Masri is the author of the journal and also works at the biological chemistry department at the University of medical and sciences. said that during the rise of lung cancer in the patient’s body and manly in special cases like cachexia, the protein which is responsible for the production of the glucose or the circadian is lost. Hence it becomes difficult for the patient to have normal breathing which again creates a complication in other organs.
Due to the loss of the circadian which ones used to regulate the production, the glucose level in the body of the patient increases abruptly. He then added that the findings which they got from the research will be very beneficial to identify the tumours in the lungs of the human body and will be very helpful to provide the cues to increase the production of glucose.
The rise in the production of glucose can be seen as one of the important cues to detect lung cancer and mainly cachexia.
The research about the production of glucose and the loss of protein which would ultimately lead to the rise in lung cancer can be very beneficial in the fields of developments therapeutics to specially target the protein so that they can suppress the growth of the cancer cells.
The research also claimed that they are still trying to deep to find the various other reasons that may lead to the rise in the cancer cells by tracing the fates of the newly emerged glucose which will highlight the main cause for the production of the proteins in the body.
